EBII Sculpture Installations Fall 2007

Scyphozoa (skih-foh-ZOH-ay) volubilis
Five interactive units, suspended at varying altitudes within the EB II atrium. Each form includes an ultrasonic sensor to detect human proximity and respond accordingly.

2) Lauren Pegram, Will Hagna, Lauren Deans, and Andrea Stroud
Mr. Sound
"Mr. Sound" is an experimental theater space housing narrative sound compositions created by the artists. Each composition is comprised of 9 audio tracks, and a corresponding sensor activates each track individually. The audience plays an active role in the narrative by selecting which tracks of the compositions are heard.

3) Enrique Dominguez, Julianne Gonski, Jenna Bost
Wax and Wane
This sculpture is created by a series of six concave and convex forms. Each of the forms has one metal door that opens outward or inward according to its concave or convex shape. The sequence represents a binary counter. A sensor detects when a person is in the space and in response the doors open and close according to how many people have entered the space.
