| Admission to Landscape Architecture | ||||||||||||
|
The profile of an ideal student for the profession of landscape architecture is one who is creative, socially conscious, ecologically aware, committed, inquisitive, curious about cross-cultural issues, receptive to learning, and interested in the visual arts. The admissions process identifies students who are active in their communities, aware of current issues that affect their environment, have creative potential and are in good academic standing. Follow these steps to apply
Step One: Apply to NC State Freshmen and Off-campus transfers must complete the appropriate university application and submit it to NC State University Undergraduate Admissions Office by December 1. Applicants must indicate Landscape Architecture as the first choice of major (curriculum code). Applicants are encouraged to specify a second curriculum choice in another academic program which is not in the College of Design. If not admitted to the College of Design, applicants may be considered for acceptance in their second choice. Off-campus applicants who are transferring from another accredited landscape architecture program may be considered as lateral transfers and should read the College of Design’s guidelines for lateral entry prior to making application (see application deadlines). NC State (On-campus) transfers must submit an internal application directly to the Student Affairs Office at the College of Design by December 1. Applications are available at the college or may be downloaded from the Web site. |
