Session Descriptions
The 5th annual urban design conference, Urban Growth: Intelligent by Design, will offer participants sustainable models, strategies and practical information for the planning, design, development and building needed to accommodate urban growth. This multidisciplinary conference will present the perspectives of developers, architects, planners, landscape architects and engineers. Topics will include infill development and renovation, high density, mixed use and affordable housing projects, water conservation and management and sustainable site development, as well as local plans incorporating these best practices. At the end of the day, a panel including all presenters will offer additional time for questions and discourse among the speakers and participants. (7 professional contact hours)
Audience: Practicing architects, landscape architects, urban designers, government leaders and city officials, municipal planners and commissioners, engineers, developers, construction administrators, students and faculty.
