Student Affairs at the College of Design serves as a point of contact for prospective and enrolled students. Recruitment, admissions, retention, and outreach programs, including Design Camp for high school students, are Student Affairs initiatives.

The staff serve as student advocates who connect design students to resources provided by the University such as financial assistance, housing, special programs, the student health service, and the counseling center.

In addition to pursuing a design degree, students are encouraged to strive for a well-rounded college experience by participating in one or more of the University's more than 300 clubs and organizations. Intramural, recreational sports, sororities, fraternities, clubs, and special programs abound at NC State University and welcome your participation. Students are also encouraged to participate in Cooperative Education opportunities and internships that enrich and expand learning by providing sponsored work assignments in industry and business.
