As the director of communications, Sherry O'Neal manages publications, media relations and the image library for the College of Design. As an NC State alumna, Sherry is proud to be working for her alma mater. During her 18 years of experience in college relations, Sherry has managed many award-winning publications and admission videos.

Prior to joining the College of Design in July 2003, Sherry served as communications director for Triangle Transit Authority. Previously, she held similar positions at NC State University's Institute for Transportation Research and Education and Peace College. She also taught public speaking and desktop publishing courses for Wake Technical Community College and Peace College, served as president of the College News Association of the Carolinas and served on the board of the Raleigh Public Relations Society. In addition to her degrees, she holds a professional communication certificate from Duke University's continuing education program.

Sherry received the College's 2005 EPA Award of Excellence.
