The profession of industrial design is concerned with the human aspects of machine-made products and their relationship to the environment, including safety, ease of physical use, recyclability and all the reasons why we like some products better than others. Industrial designers create furniture, vehicles, toys, housewares, appliances, tools, medical instruments, consumer electronics, human-computer interfaces, office systems and recreational equipment.
