American Institute of Architecture Students

The NC State Universeity Chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students is a student organization that consists of students enrolled in any of the School of Architecture's programs. At the local level, AIAS chapters are involved in organizing professional development seminars, community action projects, curriculum advisory committees, guest speaker programs, local newsletters, informal regional conferences, social functions and many other programs to benefit their members.

The AIAS serves as a liaison between students and the architectural community to encourage practitioners to participate in educational programs which involve students and interns. They also provide a liaison between students and the architecture administration, encourage participation in national competitions and lectures. Some activities that the AIAS is involved with include hosting an annual AIA/AIAS banquet, participation in the national AIAS Forum each fall, open house visits to architecture offices and participation in Habitat for Humanity programs.
