Track Three
For students with undergraduate or advanced degrees in fields other than architecture. This track normally requires four semesters of preparatory work before entering the final two-year program of graduate study. These four semesters include four faculty directed studios, ARC 403 Pregraduate Design Studios, that must be taken after admission to the program. The studios are supplemented by support courses that are stipulated by the School and are drawn from undergraduate offerings in architecture. A copy of the current list of courses can be obtained from the School. Some applicants with design-related academic or professional experience may be able to complete the preparatory work in less than four semesters. Each case is evaluated individually.
The final two years of the Track Three program are the same as previously described for Track One students.
The Architecture Graduate Electives for all three tracks may include any 500 or 600 level course (other than studio) that is offered by the School. A copy of the current list of these courses can be obtained from the School.
Opportunities exist, through student exchange programs in the Fall semester and study programs in the summer, to study abroad for credit. The School also has in place an active cooperative education program that is designed to afford IDP credit toward professional licensing. |
