How to reset your password in the event that you forget.

How to find out the current status of the lasercutters, including if they are currently in use.

FORGOTTEN DLS PASSWORD
If you've forgotten your DLS password, no problem. Because of the way the password is stored in the database, we cannot retrieve it (it's stored in a highly-encrypted format). However, if you forget your password, you can reset it to something else. Open the Design Laser System client and click on the "Forgot Password" button. You will then see the following screen:

In a series of steps, you'll be asked to identify yourself by Unity ID, and then respond to the Secret Question that you specified when you created your account. If your answer matches what's stored in the database, you'll be prompted to provide a new password for your account.

Once you've changed your password, you can login immediately with the new password.

From the colored status bars in the Main Schedule window, to the Design Computing Help Forums, to the RSS News Feed about the lasercutters, we provide many, many ways for you to stay in the know.
